Uniforms

Our students are in great need of new uniforms. The old ones are worn out and need to be replaced. If you would like to donate to the uniform fund or sponsor a uniform, please contact us.

The program receives minimal funding from the Vista Unified School District.  The Vista High School Band Boosters, comprised of parents of band and pageantry students, raises more than $160,000 annually to support the program’s operations. Each year, students in the Vista High School Regimental Band and Pageantry Corps participate in an extensive schedule of marching band, color guard tournaments, and concert performances. In recent years, the group has also performed in the United Kingdom and San Francisco and has been invited to perform in Washington, D.C. next year.

On May 8, 2010, Vista High School Regimental Band and Pageantry Corps will host its premier “Noodles and Notes” fundraiser. This award-winning program fosters music education and prepares more than one hundred students annually to be future leaders and strong members of our community by focusing on hard work, excellence and leadership. 100% of the proceeds will be dedicated to replacing uniforms which are worn beyond repair after eight years of use.

“Noodles and Notes” will feature performances by the group’s Wind Ensembles I and II and Jazz Ensemble.  During the evening, a silent auction will make available services and products donated by businesses and community members such as you. These need not be large or expensive, as any item will help. Our fundraising goal for the event is $5,000.  All sponsors will be acknowledged during the evening.  In addition, those donors who make a commitment by April 12, 2010 with a donation value greater than $100 will be identified as donors in our print and website advertising.

The “Noodles and Notes” fundraiser is organized by the Boosters, a registered 501(c), non-profit organization. Contributions to this organization may be tax deductible (please check with your tax professional for advice).  If you have any questions regarding the silent auction, please email.
