What does a freshman or new member need and how do I get it? The program is funded through individual student/family contributions called "accounts" for book keeping purposes and the General Fund. All families contribute to the general fund through fundraisers and in particular, their dedication to major events such as the Vista Invitational Field Tournament, Concession food sales at football games and various events, and an assortment of other fundraisers. With the help of all the parents and students, we can keep individual family commitment costs down. PLEASE VOLUNTEER!

For Guard (Pageantry):

• Fall Marching season, the costume is included in the student fee for Band and Pageantry.

• Shoes

• Winter Guard - your leaders will advise you of the cost.

For Band Members:

• Marching shoes - Otherwise known as "Dinkles", ordering in late summer throught the uniform committee.
  Cost of shoes is due at the time of fittings and generally, around $25. Make check payable to VHS Band Boosters.

• Tuxedo or concert dress - Uniform committee also coordinates tuxedo and concert dress purchases. Money is also due at the time of fittings.

• For ladies, shoes for concert season - closed toed black.
